Options for Trans cooler??

What is everyone using for tranny cooler now a days?? I have a couple electric rad fans lying around and wanted to hook them up to a cooler of the same size. Thinking of mounting it under the bed. Do you guys keep them on with ignition power or a switch?? I was thinking of hookin it up to a temp switch of some sort, so its not always on drawing gobs of power from the factory altenator when not needed. Is there anything available other than aftermarket or highperformance. Say something you could find from a vehical at the wrecker w/towing package???? Some type of heavy duty vehical that came with them from factory. Yeah I know Im fuckin cheap. Let me know....Fern Sy#477

Trans coolers are pretty cheap - get the largest size the parts store has (I got one rated for a RV) and mount it under the bed in place of the spare tire if you can live without it. Mount your fan so it can pull heat away from the cooler. Mine is relay controlled with an in-cab switch to shut it off when not needed.

One thing - I see you are from Canada - if you drive in the winter this setup may not allow your trans to warm up properly. I only drive in the summer and my temps max at 175 - 150F is normal with a 9/11 TC.
