The transmission and t-case together for the last time don't have any pics of it in place yet

Looks Sharp!!

Glad you didn't paint the adapter

I'll get to the shift knobs as soon as I can I promise. Just been slammed with one rush job after another, which is a good thing.

Pulled out the transmission and t-case as a unit it's really easy when the engine is out. Also picked up a few more fittings and a new fuel filter with -8an fittings. Then I installed the new fittings on the fuel sender.

Hey Chris,

What are you planning on doing with the AN Fittings on the Sending unit? Larger than stock Braided lines?

I used these

Then I will run a 45 off of those with -8 ptfe hose for the feed line and -6 ptfe for the return.

Re: pics of my sy #2695

Just a small update. Been busy since my wife and I had our first baby. I had some time to do some little things. I installed a hydro boost from Hydratech and a Wilwood master cylinder and proportioning valve. I started to install the front accessories. There is a few more thing I will post later

Re: pics of my sy #2695

Had a little more time today so I jumped in the garage for a bit.

I made a 2 gauge ground wire from the engine to the chassis. Did this since I'm moving the battery to the back also mocked up the new Wilwood rear brakes. I also started to plumb in the hydraboost.

Started to run hoses and plumbed the hydra boost in

Also picked up this yesterday

It's a 8.5 out of 98 s10 with 3:42 and g80 and very good condition and has been blasted and painted bought it off another member. I do have some plans for, but the first step is to ditch the drum brakes, so stay tuned.

Re: pics of my sy #2695

I disassembled the diff and found that the front outer pinion bearing was trashed and spun on the the pinion. The race luckily never spun in the housing. Needless to say now I had a good excuse to do a entire rebuild and make it new to match the rest of the truck. I started by welding on the brake line mounts the I the housing down to a welding shop and had them weld the tubes to the center section. I measured the axles up and ordered a set of custom Moser axles along with a billet 1350 yoke and a new girdle. The brake lines were next bent up some new lines and mocked up the brakes. Saved a little more and bought a set of 3:42 Motive gear performance series gears. Sold some parts and the was able a new Detroit Truetrac differential along with all new bearings and seals. That's were I'm at now. I just have to get the housing blasted again and powder coated, then on to assembly.

I also safety wired the brake rotors I posted on fb a while ago.

I also installed my front Wilwood brakes. I went with a 14" kit for a 1998-2002 camaro and used Renzfab adapters. Also had to mod the steering knuckles a bit to get them to fit right.

Re: pics of my sy #2695

Little bit of progress made. I've been busy moving my garage around for more space and looks like a junk bomb went off.

Assembled the 8.5 rear diff.

Installed the exhaust manifolds and turbo and made a -10an drain line

Painted the Mag-Hytec 4l80e pan to match the transmission. I had to mod it a bit to get the RPM shift cable bracket to fit. I installed the pan do not have pics installed yet. I'll post some soon.
