Pics of progress on Sy #434

Well, today I got the Derale installed under the bed and ran the braided lines...damn, that shit is a PITA to work with! Anyway, I routed the 6AN lines through the frame on the driver's side, keeping them completely away from the exhaust. The only line that comes anywhere near the exhaust is the hot line going from the tranny to the aux filter, which is before the three coolers anyway, so no biggie.

Anyway, I'm too lazy to type a lot, so here are the pics with descriptions:

Here you can see how I routed the braided tranny lines from the under-bed cooler. Vertical 6AN line is routed over bellhousing to top port on tranny (return line):

That's it for now. Headers and Razor alky kit coming soon, then I can put her back together. Will run only 91 + Xylene from now on, no more straight pump gas. Hoping for mid 11's, the truck has been lightened quite a bit.

Made some more progress tonight. Got the turbo oil drain line installed, no more leaks! Also plugged off the coolant ports on the lower intake and block; that's two less lines to worry about :)

Two rolls of 30' Summit 6AN, and I only have about 10 feet or so left. It was around $160 or so just for the line, can't remember exactly. I completely eliminated the stock metal tranny lines while I was at it.

Sick ass! Just remember- when using ss hose to use plenty of"adel clamps" available from earls, etc. That ss hose will eat through anything it's touching in time, esp. an edge of a body panel, etc.you can also help this by putting shrink wrap over the braided sections and shrinking it against the hose. That's helped alot. Don't forget to pressure test your hose assemblies with the easy shraeder valve adapter and caps available from many hose manufacturers, retailers. Looks great, man. Keep it up.
