Good eye, Larry.

I too have had cinder blocks disintegrate when used as stands. This is dangerous. Cinder blocks don't carry much load in compression, unless they're filled with concrete.

Guys not to be a dick here but cinder blocks were gone in the early 80's not to say they are not cinder block.
The block we are used to now a days are concrete blocks and will hold lots of weight BUT you do have to use them the correct way.
And in the picture they are not being used the right way.
They are made to support weight with the web (holes) in the vertical position.

Get them out of the snow !!!!!!!!!! aaaahhhh !!!

It was just backed out for a quick photo op. Don't worry, it's an AZ truck and I don't want to be the one to introduce snow, salt and rust to it.

Once i get all the odds and ends sorted out it will most likley be looking for a new home.

Here's this weeks project, and by this week I mean this year, lol.

I have changed the way they are positioned with the holes being vertical. If cinder blocks are so bad then why is there a bunch of mobile homes being supported by them across this great country.

I have been a FireFighter for 10yrs now and we have never got a call due to mobile homes turning over or collapsing due to the blocks under them have giveing way.

But good eyes guys

Not much has changed except the addition of the Fantastic looking 4" cowl hood. ;)
Garage is extra messy with X-mas boxes on the floor, on the hood of the Sy & home improvement stuff on the floor. Time too clean up.

LOL!! Yes, now I can.
Last weekend I put all of the X-mas stuff back up in the rafters & put a lot of parts in the back of the Ty & the Sy (these things are great storage lockers). The top of the Sy is actually free of anything on top of it...... for awhile.

I want to work on one of them, but need to set off a bug bomb in my garage first. Too many spiders (black widows) around my place. I was doing some bathroom remodeling 2 weeks ago & when I pulled out the toilet & flipped it upside down...black widow underneath it. And it was alive. WTF?!?!?!
