Truck still wouldn't after installing the new pump. This time I goofed. I forgot to connect back the taillight harness and ground wire which made for an open ground loop. PEACE>Tony

will it start now after you connected the ground?
It still won't start. I checked the pump via hotwiring and it works. I checked the plug
on the pump with the key on and no voltage reading. What else should I check? PEACE>Tony

I remember what i went through when the first test fire didnt happen.
I spent at least 100 hrs and tested everything.
I finally proped open the throttle body and it roared into life.
I guess I will never know lol

Re: Project "TURBONOMA" begins

Turns out it was the starter and the battery. Was able to fire it up using a battery charger.
The ecu is on a learning curve so it should take some time for it to smooth out. Finally!

Re: Project "TURBONOMA"

Started it up with the new battery today. Idles rough and I have to feather the throttle to keep it running. Efans aren't working so it got hot real quick. Afr says it's 18.8 and my fp reads 38lbs. Tried putting it in gear and nada. Hope it's not the torque converter. Still have alot to do but I'm kinda motivated again. PEACE>Tony

Re: Project "TURBONOMA" update

I downloaded the program in my ecu using tunercat today. Sending it off to Frank aka Revolution for a fix. I've got a carcode scanner that I want to use and see what that shows. Things are moving along> PEACE>Tony

Re: Project "TURBONOMA" begins

Finally got back from my holidays trip to Florida. Hung out with Justin aka "Leadfoot" over in Tampa. Well I went and started up the engine and to my surprize it remained idling. Before I would have to keep my foot on the gas peddle at around 1700rpm or it would die out. I think the ecu is still on a learning curve. I did unplug the maf so it would start up running on speed density. Later I plugged it back in while still running and it remained the same. The wife just bought a new vid camera and I'm going to record some footage for you guys that have been patiently following my house of pain. PEACE OUT>Tony

I got around to making the video today and it looks and sounds sweeet! I had to spend the day reprograming my satellite receiver cause I can't live without my tv. I'll upload the vid asap. I know you will especialy enjoy the engine audio. PEACE OUT>Tony

Had some computer problems today and I also had to go out and buy a fire wire cable cause the new camera didn't include one. I'll try uploading the vid tomorrow. PEACE OUT>Tony

Re: Project "TURBONOMA" begins

Since my last update, I've had the trans rebuilt to meet the engine's hp. Now I'm having the tb bonnet redone with a v-band clamp so it won't come off under boost and I've begun installing the 2114 intake. After that's done, we begin tunning. PEACE OUT>Tony
