what size socket takes the upper intake bolts off?

I believe 13mm, need a universal or swivel socket also, it helps.

I dunno, Dave seems to think they were 1/2" also.

From what I remember on the '92 Ty I had, they were 10mm and I thought to myself that it was even a tight squeeze getting that socket in there. I could be wrong though.

Yup i think 5/16 is right. My v6 intake has 5/16 head 12 point shinny arp bolts holding it together :tup: thats only way i remember.

I'm starting to think maybe 7/16" (11mm) now for some reason....... :lol: They are probably 1/4-20 thread.

1/2" (13mm) is just too damn big for those bolts, that would make them 3/8-16 thread and I KNOW they arent that big.

Of course i mean they are 5/16 thread size, your stock bolts would be 1/2 inch socket.

hummm, so 5/16" thread are 1/2" heads? I think you're right :tup:

But I still dont think they are 1/2" (13mm) heads on those intake bolts. I'm gonna look in the morning now :rotf:
