My first race.
Raced my friends 270 bhp GT4 and had him by 2 car lenghts all the way from a stand still to ~90MPH. His car is 4X4, he was right behind me all the way, maybe it will be a different situation to race a modded 2 wheel drive. I was not impressed by my TY I expected more from it. Not a BIG kill but it´s still a kill right.

BTW I have a chance to race a Ferrari 348 but scince my TY is bone stock I dont think it´s a good idea, Or is it?

Regards

Truckless. For now.
4x4? cool  it's really AWD not 4x4, but sounds like a good race. What's his GT4 have for mods?

As for the 348, isn't that what the Sy beat when they introduced the Sy to the press in '91?

Falle, tack for senast.

Did you see that i had 3 bent rods in my engine, i recived some new nice pistons yesterday, and waiting for the rods to arrive.

Anyway, awd is what it sounds like "all wheel drive" (konstant 4-hjuls drift), 4X4 has transfer case that you can select 2 or 4 wheel drive.

yes and no, there were the np205 transfer cases used in chevy/gmc trucks from early 70's to the eighties that were full time 4 wheels drive. my blazer has the 4 wheel drive np208 that is selectable. this months issue of truckin or some magazine like that has a good article of awd vs 4wheel drive

yah, I used to have a 1974 GMC Jimmy that was full-time 4wheel drive. But from what little I've read, there's still a pretty big difference between a true AWD vehicle and a full time 4x4 vehicle. Was it Truckin? I'd like to read that article.
