Rear Diff

My rear diff isnt slipping as good as it should and is wearing my rear tires bad. I've changed the fluid and put in the additive. Is this an early sign that the thing is going south? Low speed turns sound like a posi unit out back. Is there any adjustment or rebuilding to these things?

How many miles on the truck?? You have synth or reg 90 weight gear oil in there?

Put synth in my trucks rear diff and it made all kinda racket. Pulled the synth out and put reg 90 weight in there and its quiet now. Go figure..

Regular 80-90 with the GM additive. Its been doing it for a while now, but seems to be getting worse. I have 85k on the truck now.
Guess we will see if it breaks at the track this weekend. Go thrash and make it work out its little problem.

Do you use the GM additive? It really is the ONLY stuff that works. I don't know anyone who has successfully used anything else.
