Rear disk conversion kit?

You're better off using 98 and newer Blazer rear disc brakes. They're using the old style calipers, with the ratcheting E brakes. The newer Blazer setup uses and actual brake drum inside the rotor. They're setup uses a lot of shims to align their metal parts. The Blazer setup uses a single spacer between the cast iron abutment bracket and the axle housing mount.

Use the blazer caliper brackets?
Just go to the yard and unbolt everything from the rear end at the yard and bolt it on the your rear end. You need to get a spacer to bolt between the Blazer brakes setup and your rear end. You can find the spacer on Ebay

If you can find a 98-up 4X4 Blazer rear axle, take the whole thing. There are several differences. The axle shaft is 3/16" longer. The mounting plate welded to the axle tube is in a different location. I used a complete axle. I had functioning park brakes with an hour work. There's a thread on here with the details.

I don't know about the spacer deal. This guy isn't going to do anything to his brakes anyway.

Ya, I think I'm going to try to find an 8.5 from a 4x4 stickshift blazer, but that may be hard to find.

However, I don't know if the 8.5s come w/LSD or not. If not, forget it.
