removing upper intake paint

whats the best way to remove the paint from the upper intake and then to protect it once the paint is removed to keep from rusting etc.?

well, if you mean the paint in the letters. I would try paint thinner or brake cleaner.
As for stopping it from rusting... i thought it was aluminum.... :grin:

I used a sandblaster to remove the gray paint on the intake and intercooler. Or you could use a sanding disc and drill. Anything else is going to be a PITA.

I used a gel paint remover to remove the clear-coat from my rims. Worked great, just gob it on, wait 60 seconds, watch the paint bubble up, and rinse off with a hose. Repeat as necessary.

Got it at Home Depot, I don't remember the name of it, but it worked great.

Way neater than sandblasting.
