Without proper info on your setup or goals , none of us are going to know if it will help you or hurt you .

Re: Roller Rockers

:stupid: Unless you're running a pretty wild setup 1.6's aren't neccesary. They also cause clearance problems with the valve covers. I'm running 1.5's on a comp 422 and making nearly 500 hp on pump gas at 18psi. So, the 1.6's will give you a little more total lift, but they're not needed unless you're going for a full out race motor

Re: Roller Rockers

What rockers do we have stock? Stamped steel, roller, ect.... Next, are 1.5 rollers bigger, or same as factory? I'm just looking for a good mod, bang for buck. I know on my dodge dak 408, they were a big improvement over stock ratio.

Re: Roller Rockers

I have 1.6 on a stock cam, its not huge difference, the stock cam is really anemic. I would most likely use 1.5 with the common comp cams 412, 415, & 422 grinds. Common ported L35 and Vortec heads rarely have much cfm gains at .500+ lift.

I had no knock on the dyno... smooth as could be. Now all of a sudden it's knocking like mad starting at about 2psi and never going into closed loop :dunno:
