Sealing Front Diff.

Hey Guys,

I'm ready to reassemble my Front Diff., and had a question. The manual says to use some special Anaerobic sealer where the axle plates bolt in. Well I got some of this, but there is nothing - no gasket or sealer - where the 2 halves of the case bolt together. I was thinking of using this same sealer there also as I'm not crazy about a metal-to-metal seal.

Anyone see any problem w doing that ?

I use permatex Ultra balck silicone on transfer cases with no problems. Don't use regular silicone. And don't use alot, Ive seen people use to
much and it brakes off inside and clogs passageways. I'm sure this
will work just fine on your diff.
