It's a damn shame Servando left, a real asset to the community and a great member willing to share a ton of info, not to mention the hardest working SyTyer I've ever seen. That guy can pull a motor and repaint a truck without breaking a sweat and do it in no time at all.

I've contacted him since he left and he has not lost interest in SyTys whatsoever, his truck is damn fast, a lot faster than mine, and sounded like it was running well.

Whoever pissed him off and made him leave (if that's what happened), ought to be ashamed of themselves, because it only continues the trend of the valuable "OG" members leaving and keeping their information to themselves. :tdown:

Servando is one cool dude, from what i understand he is still SyTy active just might be on pause right now. He recently had a daughter as some of you know last nationals and probably doesnt have alot of time to devote to this forum like he did, he quadrupled my post and i've been a member sence 00, he came on in 03. Bruce and some of us here in Texas are getting him to come to the Nats, Hopefully if all goes well.

He is definitely syty active for sure...loves the trucks, and fortunately he has the ability to have many projects in the works (I wish I did! :D ). Great guy and and absolute guru, I learned that from him copiloting part of the way to nats last year. I need to give him a call. He's still around, and there may be an appearance in the works... :)

I was also thinking of what happened to Ser. I was re-reading his custom fab intercooler project. I will probably be near Laredo in the near future. Maybe i'll look him up.

I talked to Serv last weekend and monday as he was in Tulsa visting this guy. I missed visting him in person due to my family being down from TX for a funeral. He was suppose to drop by my house in Eufaula but he left a day early from the Tulsa area so that was a no go. However, I would think he will show at Nats but don't hold me to that. Bruce in Austin could probably tell us better I would think?

For the record, Serv joined in '01 when he was looking at his first Typhoon restoration project. His profile just says '03.
Last I talked to him about Nationals, he said that he wasn't going. Maybe that will change though. When he left this site, he told me that he was going to take a break from the trucks, but didn't say he'd never come back here.

I made a few changes to just about everything:
Cryoed the following:
block, custom cam & crank.
Ceramic and anti-friction coatings on the following:
J&E pistons, valves, ATR headers, bearings, lifters, push rods, crank, turbo hot side.
I'm also upgrading to a bigger BB turbo, 75lb. injectors. 1.6 rockers, mickey thompson DR's and maybe a McCoy ATA setup.

I feel so much better knowing that the block and crank are a little stronger.:)

Wow your going to have a nice build there Bruce!!!! Right now the nats are up in the air I'm not sure if i'll be going.My wife has been looking for air line tickets and they are about $1300.00 round trip which it also includes hotel and rental car. I wish i had enough time to drive over there but I don't because of work. If I do go over i hope to meet you and Servando..

According to a PM he sent me on a Texas forum, it was more like how a situation was handled by some other users that really pissed him off. IMO any forum/board can have problems like that.
