Sonoma GT & ZQ8?

Was the ZQ8 option part of the Sonoma GT package back in '92 or so?

No. Not 100% sure,but I think it came out in '96,at least that's when the 16X8 Camaroesque rims that are part of the ZQ8 package came out.

Upon further investigation,it appears that the ZQ8 made it's debut in the 1994 S10 SS

That's what I was thinking, that it was a newer option, not something available on older S-trucks...

Well my mom has a '92 Sonoma SLE that has the option code ZQ8 on the RPO tag in the glove box. Thats why I was wondering if that was a option on the Sonoma GTs.
I can tell by driving it that the steering box is geared a little faster than a regular S10s and i think the sway bar is a little bigger.
Her truck is also that funky Teal color like some of the GTs and Tys were.

My sonoma GT has the ZQ8 rpo in the glove box, but i can tell you it turns the same lock to lock as any other non-zq8 s-series. not sure on the swaybars though, and i've never looked for a hop shock.

I did some searching, and found no real info. I went to GM parts direct, and choose 1992 Chevrolet S-10, and then Rear Suspension. They list a "RWD, w/Sport Suspension, Part numbers shown are for pricing only. For proper application, refer to local supplier. 12474903" Was there another code used for sport suspension?

Thats the whole PRO list.I've highlighted the things that stuck out to me,but for all i know all s15s that year came with high flow master cylinders and heay duty rear springs.
