Re: 335/35/17 Michelin Pilot Sport Rears What Size Fronts To Match Hight

Michelin Pilot sport ps2

335-35r17 26.2" overall dia, 799 revs/mile

235-50r17 26.3" overall dia, 791 revs/mile

closest i could find, i don't think 8 extra revs per mile would harm the viscous coupler in the t-case

Strange. Tirerack lists the 235-50r17 as 777 revs.

The Michelin Pilot Sports I can get my hands on
are the W Style Tread (Older I Guess) Style Tires

"NJSERRANO" has 255/45/18 n 345/30/19
".11" Hight Difference 3.23 Rev Per Mile Diff

www.1010Tires.com Says that 335/35s n 235/50s r dam near
perfect.. 335s = 26.23 235s =26.25 n .60 Rev Per Mile Difference..

Re: Staggered Pros Please Chim In Here..

Just run the same all the way around for peace of mind! Imo I've been thru the different size bs it's not worth it and you can't rotate them , keep that in mind !;)

Re: Staggered Pros Please Chim In Here..

63360.00 inches per mile
1.13 measured cir difference
26.10 diameter of tire 1
26.46 diameter of tire 2
82.00 cir of tire 1 (tire dia * pi)
83.13 cir of tire 2 (tire dia * pi)
772.72 revs per mile tire 1 (inpermi div tire 1 dia)
762.21 revs per mile tire 2 (inpermi div tire 1 dia)
2642.72 ds revs per mile tire 1 (tire revs * 3.42)
2606.76 ds revs per mile tire 2 (tire revs * 3.42)

So it's 36 complete rotations of the viscous coupler per mile.

In order to get your number of 1.13 inches difference between the two I had to shorten one of them silghtly. I'll be interested to see how close you can get them using the tire pressure.

As it stands though - doesn't look too good.

Re: Staggered Pros Please Chim In Here..

Ahhhh Maybe I will buy some ZR1 (Style) 17x11s n mount them..

Because I can always sell them to F-Body n Vette Owners..

Too bad I wont be able to find 235/50/17s with equal tread
in this pattern.. I would be set, but that wont happen....
