ok...nothing too serious....but my battery died. Actually, maybe my alternator died - regardless, the battery is charging one way or another. My 'check gauges' light had been flashing, and i couldn't figure out why. Now i know.

I'm leaving work and the truck fumbles and dies on me. Ok, get an employee to give me a jump and let it run for a little. Employee takes off, and i drive about 20 feet when it cuts out on me. Lovely. So i push it off the to side of the rode, and start to walk home. I run into someone shortly after my walk begins, and asked them for a jump start. He says sure....and hops in his Civic Hatchback and drives to the Ty. We hook it up and the Ty fires right up.

For those who didn't watch my recent short videos....the Ty currently has an open 3" downpipe and is quite loud and powerful sounding. Needless to say the civic hatchback owner wasn't quite expecting this from a blazer. :) He literally jumps back (he was standing gazing at my turbo when i fired it up) and his eyes get all big. I laugh, and he does too, and just says "ok...i'm going to get back into my measly little honda civic and go home now". I just laughed more and thanked him.

This time i drove the Ty 0" before it died. I managed to roll up the windows, and that killed it. So f it...i start walking home. Its only 2 miles.

1/4 mile or so into my walk, it starts raining. Cool. Maybe i'll call a friend to give me a ride. Nope....cell phone battery dies before i can make a call. Cool.

I love batteries

I def think it's something. Your voltage gauge was all over the place when you started your truck in the vid. My truck only did that when the alternator was going out.

Good luck. Hope you have comfy shoes ;)

Man, I hate flip flops when you have to walk any distance. It never fails that a piece of gravel or other debri gets between your foot and the shoe causing you to perform the "removing debri from flip flop leg/foot shake". Last time that happened to me I was in Myrtle Beach and some intoxicatd ppl coming out of a bar thought I was a street dancer I guess so they tossed some change on the sidewalk in front of me.

Sounds like an alternator problem.. Battery will be charged then slowly drain, gauge will drop off and the truck will die on you.. Had it happen to the Ty in the middle of a nice December snowstorm about 6 years back..

My ass. Look at it.

Ouch, I wont wear flip flops just because of the whole "flip floppyness" about them. They make too much noise and I hate to walk with them, and I really look like a dork when I try too keep them from "flopping",...it looks REAL cool

Say "flip flop" here and you'll get the tourist
Locals call 'em "slippas" and they're all-day, everyday footwear.

Sorry for your feet Mike. :)

Whats weird is that when I saw your picture on the EFIunlimited page, the first thing I noticed was the "Rubba Slippas". Haha

Mike, atlease you didn't ruin a good pair of shoes in the rain. I always wear slippas now.
