Stud remover??

Anyone ever used one of these? Do they actually work? I trying to take the downpipe studs out of my OEM turbo.

Should work OK...... Have you tried the DOUBLE NUT method ??? Its free and I have never had it fail yet....

Ummmm.....can't say I know the double nut method. Also, one of the 3 studs thread's are kinda FUBAR'ed. How do you do the double nut method??

Take two nuts that are size of threads (like the ones U removed) and screw them about 1/2 way down.. Then tighten them against each other (loosen one and tighten the other so they touch) Then use wrench and back off stuf by contacting only the LOWEST nut (using top nut will cause it to back itself off of other nut).. And remember, a little penetrating oil goes a long way.

Got a couple M10 1.5 nuts last night and went at it. Sprayed some pen. oil on the studs and let them sit for awhile. Those suckers came out, but damn were they frozen in there. I really appreciate the adivce.....once again the BB came through. Thanks guys.
