Both runs I was in left lane. Both runs were against Mustangs. First was a GT 500, not sure of year but supercharged and manual tranny. Second was a new 5.0 with an automatic.
The temp was low 80's and humidity wasn't too bad. I drove the truck an hour to the track so I had heat soak issues. At the start of each run IAT's were 123* and rose to 137*. First run I had the Ultimate chip on T1-16 with 3.2 knock as read by Scanmaster3. Second run I tried T1-18 and the knock went up to 4.8. AFR was between 10.8 and 11.5 on both runs.
I was hoping to get a couple more runs in after the sun and temps went down but I was told at the end of my second run I needed to have a helmet on since I was under 13.99. I'm used to running on an 1/8 mile strip so never really considered the helmet issue .
Just a mile or two after leaving the track IAT's were down to 96*.

Stock truck with Ultimate? If so pretty good. It's kind of a rush blasting down the track.

How much Boost were you launching at? Im sure you have a low 13/high 12 Sy once you get the Temps and KR down.

I launch with 2 to 4 psi, that's the sweet spot for my truck. I plan on going back in a few weeks when it gets cooler out.

If it knocked with t1-16 why try t1-18, are you on a mission to blow up your truck? I have seen an ultimate chipped truck run mid 12's, have fun be safe and don't blow it up.

Re: Sy 1028 at Muncie (timeslips)

This truck has always seemed to have some KR. I can get a couple degrees in neutral by just blipping the throttle. Now I'm pretty confident that at least some is not false knock, so before I go back I'm gonna try some Torco and see if I can get 0 knock.

Nice times! Order you some torco accelerator to mix with your fuel next time you take it to the track! My truck with just a 2 bar atr strip chip running 20psi ran 8.20 at 86mph with help of the torco. That's equivelant to 12.70s qtr

Yes I tempted fate on Friday the 13th and all is well! This track is a 2 hour drive from me. Temps were mid 60's giving me IAT's of 85* at the line rising to 98* at the finish. I still had 2 to 3 degrees of KR even with the lower IAT and Torco in the tank. I ran two more times each yielding 13.55. I'm thinking false knock at this point so I'm gonna replace the knock sensor and check all the usual suspects.
I wasn't sure what my goal time would be when I started going to the track but I think I've reached it. In my mind this truck runs pretty close to what it should with the mods it has (or lack of), even with the KR. My only goal now is to get rid of the knock and just enjoy the truck for what it is, a basically stock Sy that is reliable and pretty consistent.
