My launch was fine. I was ahead for a very short time. He pulled on me pretty hard.
But again, I'm 117k miles, stock everything except a chip running up boost to 18psi. That's it. He didn't have a problem with traction either with drag radials. I was quite aware I was gonna get torn a new one, but since Robbie couldn't race, we had to get the "stock" truck in there for comparison. It was so short because he's a 12-second truck vs. a 13/14 second truck. It's also a little hard to see in the video how the launch was.
I'm not making any excuses though. Drew has a killer truck. Nick has a really killer truck. That was really a "both side of the spectrum" race. Hell, Nick's was on stock boost too. I can't imagine how fast it would be at 25psi.
I have a weenie stock Ty, but I think I held up well for what I have to work with.
I'm not disappointed in any way. I have mad respect for Drew's truck, and when I can dump a few grand into mine, I would be glad for a rematch. ::brews::
