T-case chain?

Guys, I had a metallic clunk and thought it was the propshaft. I got this rebuilt and still have the clunk. When I power brake and a friend looks under the truck, he says the t-case dips down when the clunk happens. It doesn't happen with the propshaft off, just gives off a rythmic clicking sound. Has anyone experienced this in their sy? What could this be?Thanks a mill!

TCase chain

TCase chain

I snapped the chain on my TCase (so don't yank mine - Ha, Ha, Ha). I was launching in some water, and I was sitting there spinning the wheels. When it caught dry ground and traction, the chain snapped. Fortunately, I was on warranty, and the insurance covered the ~$2500.+ that it cost. It made a clanking sound just like a broken chain.

So, anyway, it seems to me that the chain is either broken or not, and if it is, then U would have no front drive and the propshaft would not be moving. Perhaps U could run real slow and have somebody watch ?

Lynn, I tried the slow thing and my buddy said the t-case went up upon power-braking, then when the click/clunk happened, it slammed down. Aren't there hubs in the case that could also go bad? Could the chain possibly be stretched and slipping? How much is the actual t-case for a sy? 2500?!
