Directions to the Pavilion: From Interstate 35 in Belton, Texas take Highway 190 west to the Simmons Road exit. Cross under the highway and turn west on Farm-to-Market Road 2410. Turn left (south) on Commanche Gap Road and drive for five miles to reach the park.

Lakes website

Arrival is expected at Little River Dragway at dusk Saturday evening. We could meet at the lake also, as I will probably be there early Saturday evening setting up camp next to the pavilion. I do not remember the site number at this time, guessing 25. I enjoy camping rather than hotel reservations, if I can assist with either please private message me your number and I can contact you with more info.

Food for Sunday will be Fajita's cooked on the Big ol' BBQ pit in the picture at the campground. If you have requests, idea's or would like to contribute (help out) with anything please PM your number and I will contact you. If you have attended in the past 2meets then you know, call or text me.

Please check in HERE if you can attend and which days with how many SYTY's and guests. The T-Shirt idea is in the works and will be updated here as the idea progresses.

Thanks!

Wow, got a response. I've got some people certainly talking about going to this meet. Mostly those who have not attended the last two years. So I won't count on it, the regulars will be there. You know who you are. I'm missing out on road racing that weekend for this meet I'll be sure to have a good time these two days outdoors. I wish I had more time to dedicate to locals that could use help with there trucks. Hope to see new faces this year

Thanks for the kind invite. I meant to say probably only on Sunday. I'll watch this thread to see if you need a formal registration or any $$ ahead of time.

No money accepted here, if I was doing a T-Shirt run then maybe. Not enough interest for T-Shirts this year. I had a few design ideas, I tossed the idea with lack of interest for this thread. Sunday I usually do a brisket, not this year. Trying something new with some fajita's. Your more than welcome to bring something to help out with Sunday

Abe, glad your planning to make it. I actually camped out at the lake after the races Saturday night. I get the spot right next to the pavilion. It worked out good last year so that's the route I'm going this year. Got a few people that haven't attended with trucks planning to attend with them this year. Hopefully Bruce will bring out the Ty this year regardless of its minor damage from being rear ended. I want another Ty to line up with at the track.

REMEMBER to ALL SYTY guests, tell the gate attendant your going to the pavilion and your entry fee of $5 will be waived.

If you drop it off now you won't have a truck to bring to the meet. No way they could fix that in 3 weeks with painting the entire truck. Hell you don't even have the replacement cladding yet. But then again, nobody even noticed you didn't come last year :horse:

Going from what I've heard from others I'm not bringing 10-15lbs of fajita meat. I'm bringing enough for my guests and those who I know are coming with some room for extra. I don't mind bringing all this food, I just don't want it going to waste. I have too many on the "Maybe attend" list to be guessing at how many heads to feed. If you plan on attending for sure Sunday, please speak up or PM me. Anyone is welcome to help/provide items for the lunch Sunday at the Lake. If you want steak, bring steak, if you want hot dogs for the kids, bring hot dogs. The grill is HUGE and know body's food will be turned away. Thanks and looking forward to seeing everyone and there trucks

Re: TASTE Fiesta 2014

Sadly I will not be able to make it to this meet. It sucks because I live on the Lake where the Sunday meet is held. I have a family reunion for my wife's family to attend. Can't get out of it.

I will however make any of the parts in my for sale thread available for purchase. The thread is here http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=96383&highlight=sale#goto_threadtools

Most of this stuff is taking up room in my garage and I need to get rid of it so pricing is negotiable.

You will save a lot on shipping.

Shoot me a PM with an offer.

I will have My friend Jason that came with me to the meet last year, deliver the parts to the buyers at the Pavilion on Sunday.
