Timing help needed

I'm trying to set the timing on my Sy. I unplugged the tan/black wire but when i set the timing at 0 degrees the truck cuts off and won't run. What should i do to get the timing set correctly?

Make sure your harmonic balancer is has not spun. Mine did and I just replaced it. I could not set the timing on it at all and if I set it to 0 deg it just would not run and now you know why.
