To Kill and be Killed.

PPI Typhoon

DIY Madman
Well, I was going out with my brother the other night. He drove his 86 Vette and I drove the Ty. I think his username here is VetTy or something like that. Anyhow, we get up to N. Phoenix, and we're at a light. He asks if I want to race, I'm like "sure". I screwed up and put it in OD not N to get more brake, so I didn't get time to do that again, and only built minimal boost off the launch. He got ahead of me right off the bat about a half of a car length and kept it. He has those ZR-1 wheels and had some pretty killer hookup. So yes.......first time I went up against a Vette.........and I got my ass beat.

So we go have some dinner later that night with his friends and we leave the place and hit another light. This time, I had plenty of time to stage.......the truck's cold........yep, we're ready to go. So I get all the brake pedal I can out of the thing, and start building boost. I ended up being able to floor it while on the brake........boost gauge went to full (stock I know, but it still shows something) and the light turned. I haven't felt that good of a launch in a long time. He said there were about 2 car lengths on him.......and he kept up with me, but didn't gain on me. All in all, it was probably the best launch I've had in the Typhoon ever.

So I got kicked and did a little kicking back. Not bad all in all.

Man, I'm gonna miss that thing when he takes delivery of it.
