John I don't think either one of your trucks can make a single pass at BG, maybe in the pits but not down the track.

I dare you, hell double dog dare you to make just 1 pass.

Don't be bragging about the trans during sat morning's breakfast though.

BG has had my number, for sure. I took the Ty there twice and each time never made a pass.

The first ime I went back in the day when they had the Chevy SS Truck Nationals. They invited the syty crowd and a few of us showed up. Les was trgere with Mark Sheafer Sy and jerry McCoy came with his Sy powered gen 2 S-10. The night before track day we did some street cruising and messing around. I started to develop a bad stumble and headed back to the hotel (The Best Western). Since i had all new wires, cap, plugs etc. we thought the turbo took a dump. It ended up being a new set of MSD wires gone bad.

The next morning (track day) I chased down a new set of Moroso wires and headed to the track. Many others had already made a couple of runs. I sent the next hour making the wires as all I could find was the wire in bulk and the separate ends. I just finished when the rains hit and never got to run.

The other BG track day was a rental day that was put together by Scott and others. I believe we stayed at the Best Western again. The night before "track day" or maybe that morning for breakfast, a group of us were eating and a discusion about tranys came up. I commented on how my $8 million dollar extreme duty, titianum, kevlar, 4340 billet, roller bearing, heat treated, cycro treated, built by a master, blessed by the pope, 700r4 trans had never let me down.

At the track, all dialed in to break a 10:50et (prior record for me was 10.61) with brand new "sticky Mickeys" all the way around. Oh, how soft and gummy this tires were! I could not wait to get the hole shot of the decade out of the ty.

I warmed the ty up by driving down the return road and back. It was a beautiful day, perfect skies, nice morning temps, and the best was that only a few of us had the track all to ourselves. Folks, it just doesn't get any better than this. I had a friend in the Ty with me on the warmup drive and on the way back to the pits I thought I would test a launch and at the same time give my friend a butt kicking, gut wrenching, neck snapping, teeth rattling, bone crushing, nerve severing launch like he would never have ever experienced. What he got was a big bang and we went nowhere. The output shaft snapped in two pieces and ended the day right there. The tire were awesome!

The BG prevailed again. Went there twice and never even made a pass.

Scott is right about not making a pass. After two strikes at BG I may be doomed to run there. I am not sure that I should test the "Three times a charm" theory.

Wade, trailer your Ty. It will make your trip less stressful even if nothing breaks. You have a solid truck and nothing is going to happen anyway. I hope to see you there, but my summer is still up in the air to know for sure. Detroit in June?

John

I didn't want to jinx myself but with all the passes on an original tranny "knock on wood" something will probably let go.
I spend a lot of time making sure this is a solid truck.

No Homecoming this year in support of the Nationals.

Talk to you soon John.

I still have my heavy duty 700r4, all rebuilt and ready to go when you need it.

I was thinking of the syty BB on June 27th in Monroe.I am hoping to see you there.
