i am getting my converter put in this week or next from a shop that is spoke very well about in the south jersey area. the guy does most of the trans work for kaspers korner "they do and have many 8 sec cars and trucks" well he came up with 1100 for installk of the convt and pulling the trans out and doing all new seals, lips, and gaskets.
my ?'s are, is this worth it? is this a good price? should i buy the atr rebuilt kit for 150 and take that to him?
also i have 90k miles and the ty runs and shifts strong. i dont think it has ever been apart. or does any one know of a guy for about the same price in the tristate"nj, pa, de" area i would be better off going too?
i have a pte 54 just installed and i am putting a 9-11 3k stall in, i plan on 20-22lb of psi going mid-high 11's and was hopping this freshing will keep my trans together. i dont beat on my ty since it is my everyday driver and would only be at the track racing once every 2-3 weeks for 3-6 passes. any one got any ideas??
also forgot to add that i am putting a trans cooler and new rear main in at the same time
