I used to get the Ohio folks together, but my work schedule is such that my weekends are never a sure time off. I'd plan on attending, but I wont organize an event. Since you started this thread, how about getting with Jeff Scott and seeing when and where would be good for him? A gathering in these parts needs Jeff... :wink: Maybe someone here that knows of a great place to meet and can suggest it?

Wow, glad to hear Daron is part of my fan club. The club just grew by leaps and bounds to a total of 1....
I wonder if I can double it. Providing Daron doesn't tell anybody how much I paid him to join. wouldn't want anybody to get mad.
Here is my thoughts.
KY...unless you guys like horses, the ones that crap, not HORSEPOWER, not a lot here. I do have a little one to watch on weekends, (18 months old now, time is flying) as the "boss" works weekends it makes it more difficult to keep her satisfied on long road trips like I managed to do the first year I was here and saw the Ohio guys.
Maybe we could meet at Indy...just a thought, motorcity capital, almost central for Ohio and KY guys, (KY just head north, Ohio head west) We could even time it to do some racing or visit the museum. I even know a guy (he is a little strange, and has mental problems, but I will make sure he takes his proper medication) that lives close enough to the track (drag) to smell the race gas fumes. The roundy round track isn't far either. Maybe they would let us parade around the track, since they did have a Indy typhoon. I know they have a basement at museum only groups get to see...
When I was in WA I was getting to be a Pro at the organzing stuff. KY just lacks much, atleast where I am, and I hear it gets worse the further east you go. If we get enough people, I may give away a Typhoon intake plate, motor mount set, membership card to my fan club, or something.......
Can't do it last weekend in Feb. Work is forcing me to go to London and Darby England. GRIN...
IF anybody else likes the Indy idea, let me know. I will call up the mental institute place and talk to my friend to see what weekeneds he has off, and if he is willing/able to help plan it...
I bet there are some race shops that might also let us tour, just a thought....

This is doubtful since Tony George is an ASSHOLE. But I can try what the heck......
OK, now I know he's talking about me...........
None of these are an issue with me, I'd be happy to plan/assist in an outing....
Heres the deal tho....... IRP (Indy Raceway Park) doesnt open up til almost MAY, and we MAYBE able to get in sooner if we wanted to rent the track... Unless theres alot of enthusiasm I doubt this would happen... Also, keep this in mind, there IS a place not far from INDY that does Road Racing... In fact Ron Fellows was/is the local driver for the track.....
As far as the raceteam thing, I dont have any "IN's" persay but I do own a telephone..

and also heard a rumor that John Force has a shop here (not 110% on this one tho)
There are a zillion Racing teams here if you wanna see roundy-rounds (IRL/CART style cars)..
Memory serves me correctly the following teams are here:

~~ Target (Team Ganassi)
~~ Treadway Racing (neighbor works here)
~~ and about 3 other teams I cant recall off the top of my head...
Anyhow, I dont check in at the BBS much and I am busy on the weekends alot, but let me know what you guys think.....

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, there are a couple of places to get our trucks Dyno'd here (not AWD, have to remove front shafts)..
Not exactly sure on what the costs would be but if this was an interest instead of trying to get to the strip we'll YOU can be sure I could probably work something out and get us a discount if we have some participation.....
