Motor's still in(barely) nearly all else under the truck is out. If anybody needs any detailed pics of whatever(Rick and the purple wire-sorry I was too late) post here and I'll e-mail you whatever you need to post, whatever.
Though my effort's well financed, it still takes awhile to get (get comfortable with?) 1/3 of my trucks purchase price for a tranny. It'll be apart for another 2 weeks or so.

How about some pics of the motor mounts with the tranny out? Will it be easier swapping the mounts with the tranny out and the exhaust manifolds and turbo/DP off? Aw, heck...just take a bunch of pics of everything while you've got it apart :)

1255- RWD, powerglide, 76turbo, 96lb. inj., Motec, mid 9s.

Yeah, in a few years. Until then I've got a new motor already and I'm putting together my trans(with trans brake). right now. Have some head work done but need more plus I was unrealistic with motor and should've put in a cam.12 flat in 1/4 mi after the turbo would make me happy. That's incl. 50lb inj, but if I'm doing those and running a built motor with alky I might go for a bigger turbo, up the psi and drop into the 11s. The track officials at my local strip are pretty quick and would make me put in a cage and harnesses in no time. If I build it up to match the trans(possibility) expect a dry sump bowtie and dying single years later.
Related items this time are poly motor mounts(this weekend), B&M flexplate, mini-starter, Stainless braided oil lines to and from turbo, braided fuel line section and spin on fuel filter, 9/11, trans blanket and cooler with spin on filter under bed.
Matter of fact just today I picked up the sweetest remote trans cooler ever. Made by Derale, it's really 2 11"x16" tube and fin coolers stacked on top of eachother with an aluminum shroud/ mounting tab that cradles a 12" pull fan. To f'n cool. dimensions are 11x16x5". Perfect for under the bed. Still toying with actually in the bed- I can protect it from road debris and can move it 4 feet closer to the transmission instead of infront of the rear rool pan. The battery's already in there- should be alright. It'll pull air from under the bed via a scoop tipe air intake(won't do shit as a scoop but will keep things frm flying directly up into it)and place it face down over the hole.
Gonna finish this stuff this weekend and send Hartman a check(ouch). Other plans before HAN include dialing in the front end(installed new Dunstan Perf. coil over/a-arm setup), caltracs and BFG drag radials. Already have SMC alky, forged pistons, shot peened and nitrile coated crank, chrome moly rods, ATR aux. IC, jabsco, remote trans filter, drive shaft loops, guages,ATR cold air kit, batt. in bed, rerouted IC lines using braided stainless lines, Walbro HP,blah blah....
Runs strong (mid-high 8s in 1/8 mile with a best 60' in low 1.7s)but I still have the STOCK turbo AND ecm. Every time I egt money for a turbo, etc. something comes up. Like the coil-over kit. Or the stage IV trans, etc., or the $5K+ for the motor. It's pretty sad now with all this stuff and only 14.7lbs boost. Gotta get up to LA top see mike @AR before HAN in Aug. I can't go to the west coast sy/ty nats with a stock chip. Not a stock chip and cal tracs anyway.pics are here:
www.chitownsyty.com/gallery look for SoCal madness.
Jeremy- can your e-mail handle like 15megs of compressed pics? I took a bunch last night(including layout of the speciality tools I needed) but got off work at 6am after 16 hrs and kinda fell asleep at the computer. Look me up.

Sy2185 - sure, but don't send any attachments bigger than 5MB each. That www.chitownsyty.com website is killer! I downloaded a ton of SyTy pics to my computer. Dude, I know what you mean about the money going into other things. I just blew $4500 into pinball machines (Addams Family and Twilight Zone) that was supposed to be for the truck  Oh well, I still have $5000 left to put into mods for the Sy. Should be a fun summer.

warmpancakes - yeah, that's what I heard. I don't plan on buying any more but never say never, he he. If anything, I'll sell/trade my pins after I get bored with them. TZ and TAF should keep me interested for a while. Wonder if we've got any other pinheads in here?
