Turbo Lines

Hey I was hoping some of you guys could help me out in identifying the lines coming off the stock turbo and where they go. Also, where would be the best place to get replacements?

Ive included some images of what is missing.

Re: Turbo Lines

well Letter C isnt missing anything. You can see parts of the original foam filter thingy that was originally on there.

You will also see the vac. line thats next to the orange elbow in your pictures, that line hooks to I believe Letter A, but im not 100% sure on that.

As for Letter B, hooks into the actuator (the gold thingy with the arm on it) that should be on the bottom side of the turbo.

Also the other problem I noticed is you have no wires going to it. You see the part that has the DeloRemy name on it, well thats a plug for the wiring harness, so hopefully that wasnt cut off.

Just out of curiousity, is there an aftermarket boost controller installed somewhere on the truck? that would explain why that is disabled and not in use anymore.

Re: Turbo Lines

HEY!!!!! that's the boost solenoid that I need for this weekend.
You can get a complete replacement set up from LMC Truck. I just looked it but they wanted $65 to ship it overnight to me. Usually shipping is free so check it out. There are also alternative setups if you don't care about OEM.

Re: Turbo Lines

to my knowledge no aftermarket boost controller has been on the truck. It is a possibility though. the boost gauge is still functioning, although the oil pressure gauge is not working(this might be something else). what kind of effects should these lines have on the cars performance once they are re-installed?

Thanks for the help,
Mark

Re: Turbo Lines

helps ECM controlling boost ;)

w/o using the solenoid ur turbo will produce only 8psi of boost (i think 8psi is correct) , anyway w/o the solenoid activated you ll never get a clue on what big fun this trucks are
*hehe*

Re: Turbo Lines

Here's a picture of the boost solenoid connector...I had the same problem with mine, except mine just wasn't plugged in and I didn't know what that connector went to

Notice: The wire loom that is for the connector should be ziptied or somehow fastened onto the hard line for the A/C. There will be two wires inside of the loom, one's black and the other is orange.
