Turbo Solenoid question

.....the solenoid on mine has a thin tube going in on the left..thick red line on the left and one going out the other side..thick red line on the right !(doh) i also have an empty nozzle/nipple next to where the tube on the right comes from the solenoid,thin red line ...should this be unused mine isn't even blanked off ! ?

for reference it should look like this.. and yes that other port is a vent
