Just wondering i have the stock turbo and i am going to sell it. it needs to be rebuilt how much can i ask for it? i am going to sell it to my friend.

Unfortunely not much. You can get a brand new for around $400 and getting one rebuilt is going to be close to that. Depending on how bad the shape the turbo is $100-$200 would be my guess.

BTW Selling used turbos to friends is risky if you wish to keep them as friends.

Yep.. if he's a good friend just give it to him...Thats what I have done in the past. Granted there is a limit as to the freebies, but with a used turbo...tell him to fill up your tank for it...

Its no good i took it to my friend turbo shop that he has and he sad that it was no good. it needs every thing new. It has way to much play.

I'm actually looking for a new turbo. Can you tell me where you have seen them for around $400? Thanks for your help
