TxSy1430 front Diff replacement?? Maybe

Would it be cheaper to rebuild the front diff. Or to replace with another diff? It sounds like the bearings are going out in mine. I checked with the local GM dealer and the parts are $250 (just bearings and seals). Are these a pain to rebuild? does anyone have any tips?

I'm curious about this as well. Let's keep this at the top.

The 7.2 IFS is one of the most difficult differentials that I have built. It is hard to access the ring gear to check the backlash. Turning the ring gear to check the contact pattern is hard because it is inside the aluminum case with no way to get a hand on it. The pinion fits into a pocket inside the aluminum case, which makes it a little hard to get in and out. The bearing races are hard to install in the aluminum case and you can not use a bearing driver to install the inner race. I have built several of these and I dred each one.
