Ty stock block, stock turbo 11 sec quest

So figured I would start a new thread documenting my quest for 11s on the stock turbo and long block. My definition of stock is the long block is how it came from the factory. Stock heads/cam/rods/pistons/rockers,stock 17c turbo. intake,exhaust,injectors,intercoooler,and so on is a far game.

Viking coilovers
Belltech 2in rear lowering leads
Belltech front and rear sway bars
Caltracs traction bars
Viking rear shocks.
Dual electric fans
AC delete
ABS delete
Cruise control delete
Motor is stock long block never opened.
I think with a better 60ft and a cool night with my DR on it should
Go low low 12s or high 11s.
My 12.34 was with a shitty 1.80 sixty. I have done 1.68/1.69 sixty but
Had to let off as I was bracket racing. So if I get a low 1.60 or a hight 1.5 that
Should get me my low 12s hight 11s

Stock turbo just means stock turbo, guys have switched transmissions, high stall converter etc and still be in stock turbo class.
Running E85 is different than anyone else here has ran, so you should be able to crank in a lot more timing and run much better.

Running E85 is different than anyone else here has ran, so you should be able to crank in a lot more timing and run much better.

Here a copy of the SYTY National Stock turbo class rules. These are what I was following when I ran my 12.61 ET

Stock Turbo
*Any Tire Allowed
*Stock type leaf rear suspension,No traction bars etc. Fiberglass springs,lowering blocks permitted. *Any trans *Front suspension-any
*Stall converter is permissable.
*AWD
*Stock manifolds No headers
*Stock TD06-17 turbo with stock 8cm exhaust housing
*Stock unported heads must be used. If L35s are on the truck, they must be unported, and the owner must
provide documentation from GM that this truck was delivered with L35 heads. *SyTy Intake manifold
*Engine internals, cam, etc, must all be stock. Production block with wet sump oiling.
*Stock upper intercooler, no restriction on rest of system
*Alcohol/water injection as anti-detonant permitted.
*No NOS
*Stock ECM (injector driver mods ok)
*Any chip
*Truck must weigh at least 3500# with driver, Ty must weigh 3800# with driver
*Ty gets .4 head start

You mentioned your best pass, what does it consistently run?

Consistent 12.40-12.50 now that summer is here.
I have 3 times slips in a 12.30s and 15+ in the 12.40s.

Can't wait tell the temps go back down as I have the issue with the bad hop
On the launch fixed. Turned out when Viking sent me my shocks they sent th
Wrong ones that were to long and bottoming out . Got the right ones in now and
Did some test hits. All fixed

Good luck with your quest! Here a copy of the SYTY National Stock turbo class rules. These are what I was following when I ran my 12.61 ET

Good post 93 TY 2185. Same rules I printed off a few years ago and put in the glove box.
