I just rebuit and installed my new transmission. Now she will not start. She's been sitting inmy garage for a year and the last time I started her was 8 months ago. I finally get the transmission and transfer case all installed and now she will not start.

I checked for spark. I do have spark. No lighting but I so have spark. FP - 45 psi at start up.

The reason I put it in this fourm is that I remember the wire harness on the drivers side top. I did not connect any grounds to that bolt. Some of my previous cars did require some grounds to go in this spot. I did not hook up any grounds but I checked my ground on top and they are secured..to what...I Dont know?

?????:( HELP please.

Having that ground off certainly won't do you any favors in the long run. As much as a PITA it is to reconnect, I would do that first and see it that fixes your problem. But if it doesn't...

"If the chip is installed correctly, and you definitely have both spark and fuel pressure, your ignition module is dead. A bad ignition module won't generate a reference pulse preventing the injectors from firing. Part number is 1048-2827 (located under your distributor cap, BTW). Some auto chain stores can test to confirm it it's good or bad."

I fought this problem in my truck after it sat transmissionless for 2.5 years. I was able to start it after I got the transmission back in and it ran for about 5 seconds before it died and wouldn't restart. A new ignition module got me back on the road again in my case.
