Typhoon Computer Problems!!

Unfortunately after every other avenue has been completed,,it has come to the computer as the potential problem my truck is having....

Does anyone have any idea if a computer from any 4.3 blazer/jimmy truck would work?? Or is the computer for a Sy/Ty different??

My truck is totally stock motorwise except for a new coil,distributor,fuel,and intercooler pumps.

GM put the Sy/Ty ECM [part 1227749] in only a few vehicles. This is the list of vehicles that contain the 1227749 ECM

'87-'90 2.0 liter Turbo cars [VIN engine code "M"]
Sunbird, Skyhawk, Calais, Grand Am, Skylark
'88 2.3 liter Quad 4 cars [VIN engine code "D"]
Grand Am, Calais, Skylark
'91-'93 4.3 liter Turbo trucks [VIN engine code "Z"]

Is this a common thing with Sy/Ty's??
I have had my truck for about 9 years,,it's been pretty good to me...The year I make it not my daily driver something goes wrong!!

ECM issues are fairly common. Most people have 2 so they can swap if a problem is suspected.

I normally have more than 2 laying around and buy them when the chance arrives.
