Typhoon sputtering

gmc syclone

Typhoon #1698
I went to the gas station pumped some gas got on and left it drove down the street fine till i punched it a Lil to feel some power lol. I let go of the gas and pushed it like normal and it started sputtering and shaking like if it had a misfire so I pulled over to check it out the truck turns off check under the hood everything seem fine I started it and it sounded normal. So I closed the hood and take off then it starts again so I drove it home like that and it did It for a Lil bit and started running kind of normal but I could feel it was lacking power. Can anyone tell me what could cause this?

Re: Typhoon sputtering

How long since tune up? How long since new gas filter? Check your vacuum hoses maybe something popped off under boost. Scan tool readings? If vacuum leak is suspected, use starting fluid and spray methodically until you find the leak. Engine will try to die when starting fluid is sucked in thru vacuum leak. Cheap diagnostic tool for less than $7 bucks. FYI

This happened to my Syclone, the Vacuum Tee behind the manifold in front of the distributer came loose after boost. Truck ran like crap. If the line is just cracked it will run like crap and maybe not light the CEL.
