vanity plates

Re: vanity plates

I contemplated many different plates, but ended up with SYCLON because CT limits plate to 6 characters.

I wanted HAUL-SS for my Trailblazer SS but I received the application back saying it was taken. I was disappointed because on the dmv website it said it was available. I use it to tow my camper and it does Haul ass :)

I still haven't tried for another vanity plate for the Trailblazer. Not sure what to go with since I had my heart set on that one.

Re: vanity plates

After I posted this I called the DMV to find out why my plate was rejected. She looked it up and wasn't sure. She told me to resubmit it and put to her attention and she would take care of it for me.

Cosworth Vega - Twin Cam

This was on DesertSy when I bought it. The previous owner let me keep it. I now have it on WhiteTy, but I'm prolly gong to put it back on one of the Sy's. I drive the Ty a lot, and this kind of stands out. I don't think I need that on a car I drive almost everyday.

I owned the car this was on from 1983 until 1987. At the time, I was active in offshore sailboat racing. My nickname was "DP". What kind of car was it on?

Re: vanity plates

I used to have RARE GMC on my 93 Typhoon. It looked good.
A while back I saw FAST HO on a black typhoon.

Re: vanity plates

do you think at some point we might be able to get "historical plates" on these trucks?

almost 25 years old....

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d03/vc5004.htm

requirement in CA
(3) A vehicle which was manufactured after 1922, is at least 25 years old, and is of historic interest.

so how would be prove that they are of; "historical interest"?
limited production would be one point.
