Re: Velosyty chip boost help

Sorry man but running boost on 91 octane isnt fun. Like it was said befor.. run some race gas... if that fixes it, put alky on it

Think might have my problem was gapping the spark plugs at .32 since .28 was having firing issues decided to check timing find out its 19 degrees off

You don't need to gap your plugs at .028, .032 or .035 should fine for your truck. .026 or .028 plug gaps is for alky motors due the stock ignition design and the additional stress of igniting alky.

Re: Velosyty chip boost help

If race gas fixes the issue, it just confirms the knock is real. Timing, vacuum lines, air intake temps, carbon build up, wrong plugs can all cause detonation.

starting to lean towerd as a timing problem cant get it to 0 its at 176 crazy off yet harmonic ballencer is ok so idk if distributor isnt input correctly or something else?

Are you sure the balancer rubber ring hasn't slipped? Common problem.

Def start with the timing. Run some high octane gas to identify if the knock is real or false and go from there. HTH
