On the freeway yesterday ridin shotgun in the VR4 (3000GT Twin Turbo) we were cruisin with this other guy we just started hangin out with who drives a supercharged VW VR6. From a roll in 3rd gear at about 40mph, we punch it a second before the VW gets on it. I'm looking back to the left and just see this little thing gaining on us!! Shaun (driver) notices and pushes it to the floor but that damn VW just kept creeping up. At 110 it was neck and neck....shut it down at that point and picked my jaw off the floor. I had no idea those things could be so fast. He would have taken us from an even start.

I have had a few VR6 powered VW's, and when you add boost, they become a hand-full. There are some VW's running upward's of 30psi on their turbo's. The only down-fall is they are front-wheel drive. I modified my 96' GTi Vr6 and it surprised lot's "O" Mustang's and Camaro's. Mine ran low 14's in the 1/4 and that was NA, I should have added boost!
I know of several GTi's running nitrous in the 12's and street legal, that will surprise a lot of car's especially on the high-way.

that's why you get an Audi A4 / S4 same thing only with quattro...or you add the quattro system to the volkswagen. Over here there are plenty of "4motion" jettas running around.

The reason whe cant get 4 motion on the jetta is for some reason audi/vw are worried it will pull sales from the A4, but know they say that vw/audi buyers rarely compare tose brands to each other when looking so it could happen soon, along with a VR6, AWD beetle,

VW released the 4Motion Passat sometime ago in the states - like the first of the year if not earlier....

The W8? A piece of crap... It was created to compete with the V8's in BMW 5 series and Mercedes E class. The most expensive VW ever. It has failed ithis mission according to every test which I've seen so far. You can get some info here:

I was on the north Dallas tollway in my sy. The day after it ran 12.4 @ 107.7 still had race gas and running 22 lbs of boost. I see a new passat running through traffic. I thought, well easy kill but what the hell ( I can run even with a C5 until I start running out of gear so im not slow on the highway) I pull along side this passat and the guy looks over at me smiles and nails it. I did the same this was about 100mph I went to 120 like a rapped ape but it didnt matter. The damn VW was GONE I mean big time GONE. He was pulling away well in excess of 20mph. I havent told hardly anyone about this, especialy my shack job girlfriend of 8 years who wouldnt let me hear the end of it for another 8 are so years.
I dont know what the hell it was, I even went to the dealer to find out what they had, supposedly some have a new W8 engine.....I dont know, but it sure kicked my ass.
