So I got my Walboro and I'm trying to install it, but the connector they gave me to replace the stock one is different??? The connector that fits into the pump is correct (duh) but the one that goes into the sending unit (on top) is a 2 pin connector where as the sending unit is a 4 pin connector WTF???? I was going to dissassemble the connectors and just install the new ends into the old connector, but the new connector isn't long enough
Did they give me a wrong connector, or am I just an idiot (well that's a given, I bought a syty hehe) and missing something here? I was thinking of just soldering the wires together, but I don't have any shrink wrap here. If I go with bare solder would it hold up in the tank?
EDIT:
OMG!!!! :rotf: I can be such a idiot sometimes, I just figured it out, the new connector is a "T" if you will that just plugs into the sending unit harness, you don't replace the sending unit harness with the new one like I thought....Jeez!!!!
Sorry, I wll go hang myself in the garage now, because obviously that is the only thing I can do right in it!!! :rotf:
