This summer I was able to pick up a relatively low mileage (27K) Syclone #2874. I drove the truck for the summer and knew I wanted to send it away for a "minor" build and refresh... I spoke to a number of shops from the west coast to east coast. After talking with a few fellow enthusiasts and a particular shop in CA all of who recomended Sportmachines. I called Tom about july to talk about the build I had in mind and with the summer season set he asked that I send the truck his way in the fall. About two weeks ago I had my Syclone shipped to Tom and his team at SportMachines. This weekend (Im still in the airport on my way home) I spent some time with Team at SM. First I pleased with the culture and enthusiasm at the shop. These guys are gear heads! Tom had the truck on a lift and we proceeded to go over what it needed front to back. Tom had some very good recomendations considering my goals and loose budget. He explained the build process and had over 50 photos he had already taken upon inspection of my vehicle.

In the end... Although I am doing more work than I initially thought I was going to do I am super excited about this build. I have a few other cars and this is the most exciting one for me as a project. I've wanted a Syclone since they first came out when I was a teenager. Now Tom and crew are going to get started building the truck of my dreams. Super excited to say the least and even happier that I found a team that I "mesh" with... Once the build gets started I will post up a build thread with updates as they come in.

The wait begins!
