Bottom end? Sounds low (but hard to tell from the video), but not quite as deep as i would expect.

Its actually from a truck I'm thinking of buying. Just trying to figure out what might need to be repaired/replaced to fix it.

I've had a cracked flywheel sound like a rod knock so Check the little things first. You may get lucky but it doesn't sound good. How's the oil pressure?

Sounds just like my last major problem. Do this, pull the serpentine belt off and see if the noise changes. If it doesn't, run the engine with the belt off and feel the timing cover. My cam bolts backed out and the bolt heads were hitting the cover.

In case anybody was wondering...

1 spun rod bearing, rod was very much blackened.
1 spun main bearing.
Thrust on the crank wiped out.

The noise was the rod for sure, that much I had figured out as soon as I heard it and put a timing light to it, but it was also a soup sandwich on top of the rod.
