92 Black Phoon - you sent me a DM file. I briefly looked at it. It was at idle - it was quite hard for me to see anything. I'm not totally positive to read idle numbers - to me the rough idle looked like every other SyTy file I have looked at. I hope it is a ground issue that you have - for your sake. You have spent a lot of time searching for a solution - I hope this is it.

I don't know any owners who don't care about these trucks. For 95% of this board we probably have more SyTy crap laying around our houses then any other car we have ever owned. I have SyTy shirts, JL Syclones, a FRICKIN' Laptop I bought just for this truck. I have parts. I have license plates. Sometimes I think I spend more time worry about my truck's health then I do my own. For some of us - we want our truck clean - and not to the point of drive it through the car wash and go home - it is an all day adventure to wash it. Ever polished aluminum A/C hoses on any other car you've owned? Armor All radiator hoses? Smile when you walk outside and you see your truck - even if the POS is broke? Ever fixed a problem and it feels like a huge weight is lifted from your chest? Ever been shoulder deep in grime, face full of gear oil, smelled like a fresh tank of gasoline and looked in the mirror and smiled because you were done and it worked? Ever learned something while working on it and couldn't wait till someone on the board asked a question and YOU were the one with the answer?
I offered to look at your DM file because nobody else had. I have extremely busy at work (screw you Potter - I have been

) and I have looked at it but been unable to reply. This is about the most time I have spent on the board in a week - and that is because it is Friday at 11:00PM. I have helped others with DM - I'm far from an expert - but I am learning what is out there.
As far as not listening to people - you haven't done a great job if it. You keep wanting to bolt shit on. The "Why can't I get full boost?" post should have been "Why do I have so much knock?" And everyone would have asked you what you had tried. You are going to get pissed off because you have already told everyone what you have tried in other posts. Guess what? I can't remember everyone's truck and its problems. There are certain people who have stuff I remember - I have an gift to remember worthless shit.
To bad mouth certain people isn't gonna get you anywhere fast. You can bad mouth BG. You can bad mouth Daron. Anyone else - sure. But, you did the WHOLE fucking BB.....Not one or two of us. Anyone who has ever tried to help you. Anyone who has ever read your posts and been unable to answer. Anyone who has saw your name as the author of a post and didn't read it 'cause they knew you weren't gonna listen. Ask the list to answer your questions - they are generally helpful.
About the mechanic.....my dad is a mechanic - been one for years. He hasn't a clue about SyTyLand. There are certain things he does - but it is because it is mechanical. I trust my dad to work on my stuff more then anyone else - but if I want it to go faster - I am calling somebody else. These trucks are such a pain in the ass - you could make a full-time career being a SyTy Mechanic. Ask GM what spark plugs to use. Can't get CR42TS - ahhh use 43s. Got in a discussion with my dad about lubing the front poopshaft - he said it couldn't be done - which we in SyTyLand know that isn't true, right? Well, it doesn't have Zerk fittings.
What I am getting at is this - take it to your mechanic - have them do it all. Learn nothing. Oh one more thing......try telling a 53 year old mechanic how to do his job. Needless to say because of this truck I have had to do a lot of it - my dad just comes out when I rack my head on the leaf springs. He compares working on my Ty to working on a Vette - only worse. Ya gotta do your own shit. Ya gotta get dirty. It is the only way. You will learn then share it with the rest of us, right?
