Sorry for the repeat question. Are there any Corvette or Camaro combos that fit Typhoons with no mods. Please let me know what years they are from to.

thanks
Chris

I run the 93 Corvette 17" sawblades w/o any spacers. I dont think any of the Camaro combos work w/o spacers on the rear.

it shouldnt be difficult without mods, youll technically need 1-1.25" spacers to make them "flush" but you can run any wheel of the same bolt pattern without incident. most of the corvettes that people run on this board are flush on the front and ~1" 'pushed' in on the rear, flush with spacers. Just make sure you get the same size wheel as mixing 17 & 18s will cause drivetrain damage without modification. there are a ton of posts related to what youre asking in this (wheel & tire tech) section.

Almost all of the wheels require you to trim the front axle shaft, to fit the center caps. The only wheel I can think of that might work with out it, is the 1988-1989 Corvette 17" wheels. I even suspect that you could use the stock SyTy center caps. You would need spacers to fit the rear flush. If you want no spacers but didn't mind cutting the front axle to shorten the ZR-1 wheel (3 style of 17x9.5 & 17 x 11 will fit front and rear and require no spacers. The rear will stick out a litte past the cladding, but its not bad at all. The Grandsport front (17 x8.5 or 17x9.5) and 17x11 rear will fit will out spacers and fit flush.

Another quick note is with the stock front suspsension the 17x9.5 will will the front arms if you turn the wheels fully. You can either deal with it, put stop on spindle of notch the arms. The 17x8.5 Gransport will will not do this, but its rare because they only came on GS convertible and their were only 190 of those made, plus what ever was sold over the GM parts counter (an trust me 17x8.5 weren't the most popular size to be sold)

OK, so I have a friend who has a set of 1993-96? sawblades laying around with tires. Is it safe to say that these bolt right on with no spacers but need to cut front axle shafts for the center caps? What are the size tires these should have?

thanks again

Did you check out the wheel forum yet? There's lots of info on those wheels there, you should be able to answer all your questions.
