Re: What's needed for ctsv front calipers swap
I swear I read that with a Renz bracket, the 4 piston CTS-V calipers over C6 Z51 rotors would clear C4 ZR1 wheels, but now I can't find it. Maybe I was just hoping or dreaming. I'm considering 18s, but I'm trying to keep from not being able to run my 17s if I want to. More research, I guess!
It would be very close "IF" 17" wheels would fit, my gut is telling me they wont. Especially with those calipers compared to a standard two piston caliper.
The front Z51 rotor is 13.4" taken from here:

Typically the standard fitment is you have to add 4" to the rotor size to allow for caliper clearance (this isn't written in stone, but holds true most of the time).
For example:
F-body LS1 rotor 12" add 4" inches for caliper you get 16". Smallest wheel you can run (unless you're using a custom made wheel, high negative offset Pro Lite (hope you wouldn't on a SyTy) etc. Most wheels smaller wont fit, and hence why this is the largest rotor you can run behind a stock SyTy wheel.
C5 Corvette rotor 13" add 4" inches for caliper you get 17" is the smallest wheel you can run (most of the time).
C6 Z51 rotor 13.4" add 4" inches you get 17.4" (most likely you're not getting a 17" wheel on this setup) again this isn't always 100% true, but usually holds up.
