Found this down under the distributer area, not connected to anything ,2 open pipes.I have a turbo that very lamely boosts only to 8 psi ,couple of threads elsewhere :rotf:
Tried to draw where the pipes go,T piece two open ends !! the drawn in pipe 'A' is a wee tiny pipe that goes up and under the distributer & round down between the bulkhead and heads, the other marked 'B' has a 3/4 inch cylindrical thing(tried to draw it!) obscured by my finger and another pipe attached to that is a long one which goes around the inner o/s wing an dissappears under the battery tray!

Re: Where the hell is this t piece From

that's from you vavuum system, it's really time for you to replace the old hoses and stuff with new ones,
you now have a vacuum leak, and does your cruisecontrol still work?

drives side, it also has a vacuum hose on it, follow that one down, and i think you will find your problem at the end of the line

The cruise control system has a big canister valve on the drivers side with a large vacuum line and a small vacuum line running to it. The small on can be taken off all the way back at the manifold (where the T is by the distributor) The large line runs through the firewall to the brake release valve... I just cut it at the firewall and plugged it. There is also a pile of wires and the control cable you can dump too

Those are the original vacuum lines, I would replace all of the original vacuum lines before you go WOT again.

Quick update,re connected 3 vacuum lines(new silicone hoses on order  ),changed plug wires...whilst doing this checked plugs ,Ur5's in good condtion also found one plug in only on a couple of threads  no wonder it was going like a bag of shit.Soon as I fired her up I knew it was going to be better ...nice growl going on :rotf: and sure enough it went 100 times better ,boosting fine . Got a kool blue panel filter to go in tomorrow so hopefully feel a further improvement(the one thats in is well clogged up),once the new vacuum lines are fitted its time for the handling to get some attention.
