Ever since I got my Ty just over a year ago I always wished my Turbo was louder. I remember reading once that if you take out the factory airbox and run a cone style filter you can hear the turbo more. I figured it wouldn't make much of a difference. Today I got bored and decided to pull the box out and drive across my parking lot with the crossover pipe wide open on the filter end. HOLLY SH*T!!!! These things sound bad ass without the factory airbox. So I went and bought a cone style K&N and put it on the end of the crossover pipe. I bought a valve cover breather too to replace the drivers side PCV valve. The only breather Advance Auto Parts had that would fit the valve cover hole was an APC cheapo for $9.00 so thats what I got for now. None of this will have a negative affect on the Ty will it? It's bone stock other than these mods. If you have the stock airbox in place in your syty and you think your turbo is too quite try taking it out.

You should really take out that whole crossover pipe. Those are prone to breaking and being ingested by the turbo. I've seen some turbos look pretty torn up after ingesting some of that plastic. Plus it makes it even louder

Yeah, Ive heard that before. I'm going to get something else later to place the filter where the catch can is.
