Its not just our trucks the "toy" car market is down overall, vettes, porsches and vipers and cheaper the 2 years ago. Its called a turnback or mini recession, people are affraid to spend their money for some odd reason, heck the house market is down also. Houses on my street 2 years ago didnt last 1 week on the market 2 years ago and now it takes 2 months and the prices are stabil now. wait a year or 2 the prices will go back up. Also some people are turned off by alot of the higher mileage trucks that are being offered for sale, ive had a few serious offers on my truck that were pretty good and my truck has no motor and hasnt moved under its own power in 14 months.

Like warmpancakes said, the whole used car market is in the crapper right now. I've been trying to sell my neon for over a year with no luck. It's a 2001 R/T, so it's kinda sporty, sunroof, power everything, 14,000 miles, and I can't get $7900 for it. 2 years about it sold new for $16,000 and now with 14,000 miles I can't get $7. It just blows my mind that a 14,000 mile car that is mint and loaded, less than 3 yaers old, is not worth $7k. Then again, I'm kinda screwed, can't sell it, what are my other options, know what I mean. Just bend over and keep makin the payments.

I agree the market is down, C4 corvette are in the same boat. SyTy are now all over 10 years old, so they are now an old car but not quite thought of as an investment. The reliability doesn't help either. GN's took a noticable hike in price a few years ago, syty may do the same (its all supply and demand) At some time in a year or two, I want to get a 92 red/gray Ty hopefully before I am price out of one... It seem like their are some good deals out their...

As a finacial manger once said, "Tuna is on sale, buy now". The collector/muscle car market swings like any other market and right now it's down...a buyer's market.

Who cares, I don't look at my sy as an investment. If I did I wouldn't mod it or even drive it and what fun is that.

Yeah, I wish I had a place to put 'em because if I did ... I want a whole stable of 'em. If I could, I would buy a 50K syclone, stock as a daily driver, keep my low mileage slightly modded syclone, my stock typhoon as a another daily driver and then buy a super low mileage syclone and a low mileage garnet red/gray typhoon. 2 trucks as daily drivers and three parked away.

I feel you get what you pay for in many cases. Overall as many have stated above, the market may be a little down, but fo rthe last couple years I have scoured ebay, Autotrader, etc. etc. looking for a clean Sy. I seen some nice ones and alot of bombs. Many high mileage or beat up ones did lower the prices you see on ebay for some. Also I have seen some listed multiple times as people were asking a little too much.

Either way, like others said, it is the market just like the economy and new car prices are dropping as well. Besides, if I bought one soley for the collectibilty or to resell it, I would never drive it. And if I could never drive it, I wouldn't waste my money in the first place.
