Some of us have working trucks.

Actually, I have multiple working trucks.

Last meet we had at The Hat in Brea, only 2 people showed up.

Jason and me.

Mine actually works fairly well right now Scott. Needs a few little things here and there and still smokes pretty good on startup but should have all that fixed this year. Paul's truck on the other hand is going to be down for awhile.

I for one would like to go racing.
But it seems most are not interested.

I went w/the Turbo Regal & GN guys to Fontana & raced last time. I was the only Syclone there.

In Northridge, Bobs Big Boy ,(Corbin & Nordoff ) every Friday night there are supposed to be a car hop going on.
I have not gone but plan on it soon.

Does anyone want to race there Sy/Ty's?

When its done.... then YES!!! It should be running in only a months time, but will need a tune. Whereabouts are you located?

I don't know if everybody wanted to do a mini pre-nats road trip meet, but we could do a central coast meet. Three hour drive for the LA guys, Bay area guys, and Central Cal guys. Maybe the San Luis or Pismo Beach area. just the wheels turning

Yeah I know. My response didn't come out as I meant it. It was meant more that I'm surprised the truck has been fairly decent lately.

As far as the track talk goes, nobody wants to race their truck more than me. The problem is I have to either rebuild or swap the heads when I get L35s because startup smoke is bad and the pistons are likely caked with oil. My truck pings pretty bad as soon as it gets loaded up in third gear. I also think my upper IC is leaking again because I keep having to fill up the damn thing. Probably the other reason for my pinging. A running truck and a trackworthy truck are two very different deals and mine would only serve to disappoint right now. That's the problem with multiple projects; they drain the wallet quickly. Hopefully I will get to spend some more time on the Sy this year.

It went better than expected! We got 3 people who said they were going to show up along with a couple syty.net lurkers! I guess a few more than I thought actually exist in la!
