does the ultimate 50# chip stay in open loop? i would think that the benefits of using the other sensors on the truck to change fueling would be a plus in closed loop.

You obviously don't understand the closed loop terminology, and I don't have the time to explain it fully to you.

It merely does not use the stock 02 sensor input for fueling control, everything else is still used.

There were several reasons for this - open loop fueling gave better drivability - it also gave us better flexibility for different buildups and different trucks running the same calibration.


Also - basic messageboard etiquette -
1) make the subject heading something that indicates something about your post
2) put the question in the appropriate forum - this would belong in Tuning section

I thought there was sticky about making subjects like this. If I didn't see Brian's name in the response column I never would've looked at it. In the future, if you want help, make a REAL subject so people will know what it's gonna be about.
