Will MSD injectors work?

I was wondering if anyone has used MSD injectors before. I'm looking to buy some 50#ers and I was wondering if they will work. Any help would be appreciated. :rock:

They should work with the stock ECU since they are a high impedance injector. You must have a calibration to run these. The stock chip will not work.

Unless you want MSD specifically, I would buy a matched set of injectors from Mike at Race Proven Motors. I have bought injectors from him and they were excellent. You will also find used sets in the classifieds pretty regularly.

The reason I asked is because I found a set going pretty cheap on Ebay. RPM has quite a few things I will be ordering in the near future. I just figured if the MSD's worked well I would use them. :D

Different injectors have different flow characteristics. A 50# doesn't always flow exactly twice as much as a 25#. I honestly don't know one way or the other, but it's possible that these MSD 50#'s might flow differently from the Delphi 50#'s.

It'd suck to get a good deal on injectors, only to find out that you have to spend the savings on having a chip customized to your injectors...

MSD = Rochester = Delphi

They may have changed over the years, but they are the same injector model. Whether or not I'd trust an injector bought off ebay is another question :wink:

There's something to be said for matched injectors too.

I have a set.

I have a set.

I have an extra set of the Delphi 50's.
Still brand new from PT&E.
I have 2 sets left from a bunch that I bought a few months ago. They are flow matched etc etc. $300 plus shipping if you want them.

They're ok, never heard anyone complain about 'em.

Doesn't matter, the MSD/Rochester/Delphi injector is NOT a disc injector.

It's not a pintle injector either.
